Last Tuesday, 9, at 18:30 held in the auditorium of the Cultural Hall of Caja Murcia (Cehegín), the last of the events planned by the association, which consisted of two projections of the sixties material , seventies and eighties that served to illustrate the proposed theme of the social evolution of women in northwest Murcia.
This evolution was studied from the various jobs that women was conducted over the decades.
Most of the time, in conditions of lack of regular employment and salaries far below those of men.
Special mention was made to educational institutions that represented the real change for women of our land: opening in 1968 the Institute of Argos and Vega 1980, Alquipir, where vocational training was introduced and, finally, the first (1986) of the various Schools Workshop that took place in our population, which have been formed, indifferently, men and women in occupations hitherto occupied by men: masonry, carpentry, metalwork, painting ....
We were honored to have the assistance of the Municipal Corporation, practically complete, and large crowds.
The Regional Representative of Youth and Youth Housing spokesman, Research, Innovation and New Technology, was tasked to speak on behalf of the youth of the present generation: achievements, challenges and problems.
In an atmosphere full of interest, intimacy, emotion and respect.
We want to express, on behalf of the Association of Progressive Women Cehegín, our thanks for such civic participation.
Acts such as this Tuesday, June 9 will embolden and encourage us to continue working for equality every day we see closer and possible.
