Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, and the Councillor for Education and Culture, Nicolás del Toro, has opened children's section of the Municipal Library, for children up to 12 years, who may participate in the weekly storytelling and enjoy a multitude of books informative, theater, poetry, adventure stories, and so on.
With an investment of around 15,000 euros, financed by the Autonomous Community and the City of Cehegín, the new children's section, integrated within the study area of the Municipal Library (House of Culture), "created with the aim of power keep children away from their elders, so we can do with them to encourage reading through specialized monitors or with parents directly, "says Del Toro.
The newly opened children's area, which is open from 9 to 14 and 16 to 21 hours, has numerous reading tables, which can be used simultaneously about 40 children, who may also make use of DVD players laptop available there.
"Also, every Friday, from 18 to 19 hours, there will be a storyteller for children who wish to participate in it," reported the councilman.
