This past Friday the 22 the Day Centre for Older People, ANIMAY managed by the association, held its third anniversary with a panel discussion entitled "Beauties and opportunities in old age, which was held at the Cultural Hall of Cajamurcia.
In the roundtable indicated were present Mayor Cehegín, the geriatrician John Dionisio Avilés, the priest José García, the representative of María Dolores García IMAS and the center's director, Juan José Gómez.
At the same conejales also attended by Municipal Socialist Group in the City of Cehegín José Roca and Carlos Rafael Rodriguez.
The event was also used for the presentation of a book that draws on the experiences and work done at the center during his three years of existence and which was given to all attendees.
From the Municipal Socialist Group would like to congratulate ANIMAY Association for the excellent work being undertaken for and by our ancestors since 2006 with the aim to accompany and care for 25 people affected by some physical or mental impairment that may cause difficulties to face their daily lives with independence and autonomy.
No doubt a great job and a great act.
We Cehegín socialists we welcome this and encourage them to continue their work.
As is known, the rate of older people is growing thanks to higher quality of life, better health and greater social benefits.
We take this opportunity to congratulate all cehegineros, especially our elders, because in a few days will open the new Day Centre, which is already under construction and will expand the seating capacity of existing and which is a total investment of around one million euros of which 900,000 euros (91% of total) from Zapatero's government under the State Special Fund for the Revitalization of the Economy and Employment, known as Plan E and the same will be located at C / San Agustín, with an area of over 960 m2 and consisting of administration area, meeting room, nursing, rehabilitation room, showers homes, storage, kitchen, pantry, multipurpose room and outdoor garden, which will be completed by 28 February this year.
The Municipal Socialist Group believes that we should all congratulate ourselves on the 3 rd anniversary of the current Day Centre and the upcoming opening of the new Centre and especially to our elders that after all are going to enjoy it.
