The Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Sotoca Constantine, along with the mayor of Cehegín, Jose Soria, and the director of public school Virgen de las Maravillas, María Jesús Delgado, unveiled a plaque commemorating the 'Silver Slate' with is awarded to the center.

Also found a mural alluding to the 50 anniversary of the school.

Finally, took place in the House of Culture book launch '50 years educating "the ending of the celebrations surrounding the anniversary of the infant and primary school that is a benchmark for cehegineros education.

The event was attended by teachers, parents, students, representatives of the educational community and citizens of the municipality that have had some relationship with the school honored.
