Cehegín City Council has hired four computer technicians to carry out training in groups with less knowledge of new technologies, such as housewives, the elderly and people living in rural areas or other similar groups, with to eliminate possible in the way the digital divide in the municipality.
These contracts were made possible by a grant from the Employment and Training Service.
Thanks to this, it will organize introductory courses in Internet and computing in general, to bring the Information Technology and Communication (ICT) to all citizens, both the village as villages.
There are also courses and advanced seminars on social networks and blogs, for more experienced users.
In addition, these technicians are responsible for the promotion of new technology classrooms and free Internet access located in the House of Culture, Youth Space, Club of pensions, and social premises of Canara, El Chaparral and El Campillo de los Jiménez .
From these, advise and resolve all citizens' concerns.
Those interested in participating in these courses may enroll in the Youth Space, the Equality Authority (House of Music) or any of the classrooms of new technologies in the municipality.
According to Councilman Communication Francisco in April, "with all those registered will be organized by groups and different courses."
