The Director General of Tourism, Marina Garcia (background), held a meeting with members of the Tourist Consortium of the Northwest Greenway which was approved in October 2009, began the record of procurement of works of rehabilitation of the former Cehegín train station to make it a shelter.
The amount of the performance was of 320,000 euros.
The Consortium of the Northwest Greenway was established in 2003 and covers a distance of 48 kilometers, from the Baths of Mula and Caravaca de la Cruz, and covers the towns of Mula, Bullas, Cehegín and Caravaca.
The four towns have travel attractions such as the Sanctuary of the Child of Mula, the ruins of Begastri, railway viaducts themselves, the proximity of the Espuña and now the pilgrimage to the holy city of Caravaca de la Cruz.
