The Municipal Council has passed an ordinance to improve safety in public and private playgrounds in the municipality, which has the purpose of regulating the conditions that must have these spaces, so that the children develop recreational activities without any risk.
The new ordinance makes it clear the issues relating to playgrounds.
Thus defined as "an outdoor space that contains equipment for children to play.
These must be separated from traffic by a minimum of 30 feet, or through natural or artificial means to ensure their protection. "
It also obliges them to be adapted for disabled access or have play areas for different ages.
In turn, prohibits the use of the playing of these playgrounds for over 16 years.
It also contains specifications for security in these elements and in practice the game, keeping these areas and signs required to be contained.
It also warns of the types of offenses and penalties that may be imposed for failure to comply with this ordinance.
According to this, the playgrounds in the municipality have a period of four years to be adequate.
