After gaining promotion last season, this year in the league debutareis EBA. How do you face the jump category?
- No doubt it is a challenge that motivates us a lot, a club like ours, with only 9 years old and has already made it to EBA, but at the same time, this new category gives us a lot of respect, the This is a qualitative leap, a leap year, this category requires a club infrastructure much more comprehensive and coordinated, and all we are demanding that we give the best of ourselves and that we seek people to help us continue to grow as club.
We try to keep up in this category, but we know from experience that the first season in a category that does not know can be very hard, and we face this challenge very concerned and hope that everything go as smoothly as possible.
Is Cehegin (just over 15,000 people) excited about the project EBA?
I will not say what it is, our people are certainly very peculiar in the world of basketball, over the years have felt like was finding it hard to recognize the outstanding achievements that had the virtue of being the first team our area, the region of the northwest, having a basketball team in the national category, people did not stop supporting the team in the game, the stands were half full, even if it is true that we have a group of fans to we are always eternally grateful because they never failed us.
But the fact of having organized the last stage of advancement in our town, where if our fans responded en masse, along with the success of the climb ahead of them this summer has caused much notice if people's interest in learning about signings, and become members and follow the team when it begins to walk.
I hope all this will become a good match attendance and creating a larger social mass for the club.
For a newly risen, have set a very interesting template with the likes of Xavi Alarcón (formerly ADM) and José Antonio Fernández "Leper" (ex UCAM).
What heights can reach with your campus?
You never know, the truth is that the team is pretty good, not only by the two players listed above, but by the completeness of the workforce in general, however, this year the EBA league will take a qualitative leap huge because all the teams in the group are nourished by a lot of players last season were active in the former or even LEB LEB SILVER BRONZE, there are real great team as GANDÃA, Alfaz del Pi, Calpe, CASTELLON, Almà ssera O LLIRIA, and if not name the other is because today the less I know, but I think the league will be hotly contested and balanced and I am hoping that the competition starts to see the level and see what the real goals for which we fight .
We talked about the team but, how will your debut on the bench EBA (especially considering that you are a club coach)?
The truth is that I'm pretty calm right now, I have enthusiasm for this project, further progress as a coach and my goal is to prove to myself that I can contribute something to these players that the club has put at my disposal so they can give the best of them in the benefit of the team.
I can not deny that being a club man has helped me in getting in so little time to get a coaching position as important as this, it is also true that I care much be more and more and club's board has not hesitated a moment when plants which continue with the work started 2 seasons ago with the first team, so I assume they are happy with my work and I have been awarded this important challenge .
I am a lover of basketball to the absolute limits, I suppose like most professional colleagues, who is trying to enjoy what he likes, which is located at the right club and will try to do my job the best.
The crisis has full basketball Murcia (the 2 and 3 LEB Bronze EBA last year have given up their seats).
What accounts for this situation?
The lack of economic support is the cause of the disappearances, each has a different depth analysis of the other, so it is very difficult to generalize.
We all know more or less the reasons: Sponsors are not in their best, municipalities that do not totally support everything they should, in economic management follies of previous seasons, and so on. ... I believe that all these teams have taken the right decision not to go, because it is better to swim and eat, be seen with the water at mid-season neck.
Clubs should encourage the quarries, should give them continuity and opportunities for its most outstanding young people must learn to settle for mid-table seasons waiting for the explosion of those of jugadores.Esa should be the main slogan, then every club know what you can do a particular year, if you've got a good sponsor can try to complete the squad and give these young figures in which look and learn, if not a single euro because it has to bet on them to stop, to waiting for better times, but always looking for the same line of work and worrying that their quarry coaches are really well trained and carry out appropriate work.
In recent years I have had more contact with the basketball community of Valencia and I must say that there is much difference in how to work the quarry in such clubs as the work here, I think we are far ahead and all the coaches we have Murcia commitment to look at what we do best and work to bridge the gap and improve our training.

- September 10, against CB Santomera National First Division, will be in the city of Murcia, with a schedule and pitch, to be determined.
- September 13, within the program of festivities Cehegin, 2nd memorial David Jimenez Fernandez, against Valencia Basket (before, Pamesa Valencia), EBA category, a subsidiary of ACB, at 18:00 pm in Hall Municipal Cehegin
- September 20, at 12 pm against ADM National First Division, the municipal flag Cehegin.
