The general director of Sports, Antonio Peñalver, today introduced the I Triathlon 'Cehegín City' held in the municipality on 10 July and which provides for the participation of 300 athletes.

Peñalver, who was accompanied by the councilman of Sports City of Cehegín, Antonio Marin, the president of the Triathlon Federation of Murcia, Diego Calvo, and the organizer of the two tests, Tomas Moya, said that "holding of this event is that Cehegín join the triathlon circuit Murcia is growing in both municipalities as participants. "
The categories of participants in the First Triathlon ranging from the youngest, born in 1999 and 2000, to veterans, born in 1949 or earlier.
Prizes and trophies are valued at 200 euros for the winner, $ 100 for the second, and an amount of 50 euros for the third.
As for the categories present in the Half Marathon Night, ages range between 17 and 60 years for the male category, and between 17 and 50 years for women.
This test will award to the winner with 500 euros, the second with 250, third with 125, fourth with 75, fifth with 50 and participants that are between the sixth and tenth place will be rewarded with 20 euros.
In the first three places in all categories also will be presented with a trophy.
