Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, and council Works and Services, Juan Antonio Chico, inaugurated the new street lighting in areas of the district's head and the streets parallel to the Convent, who have invested 132,291.71 euros.
The Barrio del Cabezo, which includes roads Angel, Sagunto, Cañadita, Vista Alegre, Head, Bailen, Clavijo, Pavia, Navas and Numancia, has changed its image seen at night, thanks to 51 new streetlights installed, which saves energy and have a better light.
The same has happened in the streets around the convent, such as Velasquez, Blas, Alvarez, Santa Rosa, Felipe Zarco, San Joaquin, San Vicente, Peña Rubia and The Cup, which just released its 64 fixtures have taken another air area, much more in tune with the times.
Councilman Works and Services has also announced the electrification and lighting works are underway, and others still are projects but that will be carried out during this year, such as the hamlet of La Pila, Casa Alta, El Campillo de los Jiménez, Barrio de San Antonio, Avenida Plaza de Toros and the underground wiring in the Old Town.
According to Jose Soria, "We have not taken full advantage to be drawn to the Old Town, so we are working constantly on it, although much remains to be done."
