The 'Book Project', coordinated by the Department of Environment, led by María Dolores Carrasco, collected over a thousand kilos of material Cehegín school, to be sent to Nicaragua, Peru, Paraguay and Ecuador, where it will be reused for children and girls from Spanish speaking countries.
Many volunteers, consisting mainly of youth group members 'Nueve.e' Association 'Vadera Blue' and Civil Protection have been commissioned to select and pack all the material that people have made to help this cause.
Yet not only sent textbooks, but also pencils, notebooks, backpacks, cases, and so on.
This year has been collected about the same school supplies for the previous edition, according to organizers, it has been shown that cehegineros remain committed to all kinds of solidarity activities taking place in the locality.
