The Department of Social Services City of Cehegín, directed by Maria Isabel Martinez, has been awarded the $ 1,000 annual grant to the Association of Families of Mentally Ill of the Northwest Region (AFEMNOR).
According to the councilman, "the City has maintained and maintains a close collaboration with the partnership, both financially and in helping transport Cehegín partners attending the various workshops conducted before using services, and now using the vehicle CajaMurcia Foundation has donated to the municipality. "
AFEMNOR is a nonprofit association whose mission is to defend the rights of persons with mental illness and their families to identify needs of those sick and claiming to the government; sensitize the population to achieve the social integration of this group ; information, guidance and advice to families and individuals with the disease, and offer services and programs for personal autonomy.
