The director of the Institute for Women in the Region of Murcia, Teresa Moreno, presented in the program Cehegín 'Pasapágina', an initiative to promote reading habit among women, as well as the realization of many cultural activities.
Cehegín thus becomes one of the five pilot municipalities, the Community has chosen to create these women's clubs who have at their disposal a number of securities and may hold conferences, debates and even bring the perpetrators to town .
At the moment this new group will consist of 25 women, coordinated by a monitor, who will meet regularly to discuss and comment on readings.
Teresa Moreno said that "there are women who for personal reasons have never had the opportunity to delve into reading, so now we will give them the opportunity to do so," adding that "the ultimate goal is that these clubs are independent and remain on their own, always under the umbrella of the Institute for Women. "
