The Confraternity of the Passion of Christ has made the reissue of the first book about the patron saint of Cehegín, entitled 'Rare and Wonderful East Ave Maria Santisima de las Maravillas', which will become a reading of the works necessary to better understand the identity and local history.
The House of Culture has welcomed the launch of this book, considered by Councillor Nicholas del Toro as "cultural bomb" because it is the chronicle of the arrival of the Virgin Cehegín Wonderland in the year 1725, since his departure from Naples to his arrival at the port of Cartagena.
This Father Moreno picked it up in a series of pages, which are now very few originals.
The treasurer of the Brotherhood, Alfonso City, said, "is the most important book ever written on Cehegín" adding that "we have to thank in part to Don Antonio Pérez Crespo, official historian of the Region of Murcia, as it was he who gave us the idea of republishing it. "
He also thanked the cooperation of some people who have selflessly helped in the preparation of this work, such as Juan Martínez, José María López, Cristóbal Botía, businesses and Rehabilitation Center Contraplano City CAM institutions and La Caixa, and the City of Cehegín.
'Rare and Wonderful Bird of the East' is now on sale at all bookstores Cehegín and the most important of the Region of Murcia.
