El Palacio de los Fajardo Cehegín, current seat of the Municipal Archaeological Museum, has been chosen as 'Best Building of Other Uses' in Quality Awards III Building, which calls the Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Transport Region Murcia.
Mayor Jose Soria asked to participate in this building, convinced of the great historical and artistic value he possessed, supported by the excellent restoration work by the Workshop School.
The competition's main objective is to recognize the work of agents of the building and users of buildings, over the years have contributed to their preservation, achieving a balance of durability, habitability and safety.
On the other hand, the City Council also opted Cehegín Quality Award in Construction of Commercial, but in the end the winner was the Banco de Valencia, situated at Tatters, in Murcia.
