Parque Juan Carlos I has just released its new street lighting, composed of 56 cast iron lampposts, which will significantly improve the lighting in all areas of it.
Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, Councilman Works and Services, Juan Antonio Chico, along with several mayors, city council and technicians responsible for IRLUZ installation company, yesterday inaugurated the new facility represents an investment of 79,106 euros and was scheduled within the Works and Services Plan (POS) 2007 as a follow-up project.
Besides the installation of new streetlights have been fully restored all cabling, 500 meters, and the targeting because it was in bad shape.
As pointed out by the council Works and Services, Juan Antonio Chico, "was endowed with more points of light the park, especially around children, and have eliminated some gray areas that existed around the stage."
The new streetlights, of 3.70 meters high, are higher than those available so far and are equipped with vandal-proof glass and flow restrictor to prevent light pollution, with high pressure sodium lamps of 150 watts.
