José Martínez and Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, will open next Saturday the brand new church in the hamlet of Canara ceheginera recently his work has been completed.
These, which had a budget of 300,000 euros, have been funded by the diocese and the city of Cehegín, who have contributed 120,000 euros each, the parish and residents of Canara, which have contributed more than 60,000 euros and the company DIFEL MARMOL, SL, which has also helped build the temple designed by the Madrid architect Juan de Dios de la Hoz.
The inaugural Mass of the majestic temple will be held at 20:00 pm
the next day, August 9, and so will comply with the pledge it made the mayor of Cehegín Canara's neighbors at the beginning of the previous term, to build a new church to replace the previous one, built in the 50s, and that had a dilapidated state.
Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, has shown to the neighbors "pleased to see fulfilled this commitment and Canara now going to have a church as it deserves."
