The Department of Women, led by Felicidad Fernandez, has launched a free course of traditional embroidery, which will take place from September 15 to April 3 in the locality.
This workshop has been funded entirely by the Women's Institute, whose director, Teresa Moreno, wanted to be in the presentation, with the mayor of Cehegín, Jose Soria, and the Councillor, who have shown the characteristics of this employment initiative .
Felicidad Fernandez has said that "this course will be developed to train citizens as occupationally several professional handmade embroidery as it is directed at both women and men, with the aim of setting up their own company, cooperative or partnership at the end of it ".
For its part, Teresa Moreno has clarified that "it is these traditions and try to recover train women and men for insertion in the labor market, so that success is assured."
Jose Soria also wanted to point out that "the craft is in, it is interesting and retrieves traditions, so this course is very important to Cehegín" adding that "the work a few years ago stopped making money, now moving part significant for the economy. "
The handmade embroidery course, who may attend a maximum of 15 people, will last 300 hours, stakeholders may deposit entries in the City of Cehegín through the Single Window from 21 July to 25 August.
