Promotora Association of People's University Third Millennium, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Region of Murcia, announces the second edition of the Short Story Competition Short on children and youth category, in which children can participate and youth aged 6 to 16 years, with works written in Castilian.
BASES:
Open to children and youth aged 6 to 16 years, of any nationality and residence.
Each contestant will give away a book just for participating.
Awards:
Group 1 (between 6 and 8 years): a set of books valued at 180 euros and a trophy.
A second set of books valued at 100 euros and a trophy.
A third set of books valued at 75 euros and a trophy.
Group 2 (between 9 and 12): a set of books valued at 180 euros and a trophy.
A second set of books valued at 100 euros and a trophy.
A third set of books valued at 75 euros and a trophy.
Group 3 (ages 13 to 16 years): a set of books valued at 180 euros and a trophy.
A second set of books valued at 100 euros and a trophy.
A third set of books valued at 75 euros and a trophy.
The theme will be free, with only one original work and Castilian.
Entries should be submitted in original manuscript written on one side.
The maximum length shall not exceed 4 pages, shall be a minimum limit.
Entries should be submitted before 6 pm on April 14, 2008, at the site of the Association of University People's Advocate III Millennium, located in Calle General Carreño, next to the court, with the notation "II Competition Tales and Short Stories III Millennium. "
Be enclosed in a sealed envelope, a copy of each work, signed with a pseudonym that will be required.
In another sealed envelope, included in the above, indicate the pseudonym, title of the story, the name and surname, photocopy of ID, address and telephone.
The jury will announce the decision on April 26, 2008, at 11 hours.
The decision is final.
Participation in the competition implies acceptance of all the bases.
The winning works will become property of the association, which reverses all rights to them.
The award winning pieces may be withdrawn by the authors during the month of May 2008.
