The secretary general of the Socialist Party in the region of Murcia and Socialist parliamentary spokesman, Rafael González Tovar, this morning attended the ceremony held in Cehegín which have taken up office eight pedáneos to be partners of their neighbors to the City Council.
González Tovar welcomed and highlighted the importance of this event taking place for the first time since all pedáneos have been democratically elected by the residents, unlike the practice that had been customary with the Popular Party government, which appointed finger.
"We enforcement and our word and our electoral commitment with the citizenry to promote participation, transparency and democratic ways. It's a new way to understand local politics, will and work, from the closeness and to respond to the real problems of the people, while giving voice to citizens to elect their representatives. "
The leader of the Socialist Murcia took the opportunity to stress that the Socialist Party believes in municipal issues and coordination and is proving with facts.
"We have another way of doing things and is beginning to be felt in the various municipalities where mayors socialist rule. What we experienced today is a step that strengthens the change that is occurring in our region," he said.
For its part, the mayor of Cehegín, Jose Rafael Rocamora, has also expressed his satisfaction that through this act all a participatory process carried out in 20 districts "and thanks to which for the first time in the history of Cehegín, neighbors culminates have you had the opportunity to choose the person they have understood more accurate to represent them before the City Council. It was a historical demand of the majority of neighborhood associations and residents of our parishes that we have done, "he said.
