The Councillor for Women's Hall of Cehegín, Antonia Fernández Nieto, accompanied by Maria Jose Martinez Verdugo, mayor of the Environment and Forestry, presented to the media what the different activities will commemorate the International Day of Human Rights child, every November 20th, and a series of events for the "International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women", which is celebrated annually on November 25.
Activities to mark the International Day of Children's Rights will be held in the city on Sunday November 22, from 11:00 in Paco Ginés Street.
In them, children can enjoy workshops, activities as well as the realization of a large mural that they themselves can do with their hands.
They have been involved in different groups and companies as the Library Booklets Cehegín, groups such as Motiva-T and Adinor, Teatro El Molino, the Sing Q Kindergartens and Mimos etc.
There will also be reading a manifesto related to the Rights of the Child.
Councillor wanted to thank the participation of all the people who have wanted to add to these acts "that serve to highlight this annual celebration dedicated to brotherhood and understanding of children worldwide and activities aimed at promoting the welfare and children's rights and girls'
On the other hand it has also presented the activities of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women which aims to "continue raising public awareness about this social evil and promote real equality between men and women."
These are the acts:
On Monday, November 23, a talk by CAVI be held at the Youth Space, between 10:30 and 12:00 hours.
On Tuesday, November 24, also in the Youth Space, hosting a Workshop on Prevention of Gender Violence, with a short dramatization about it.
Hours are from 17 to 19 hours.
On the other hand, next Wednesday, November 25th, the Department of Women proceed to read the manifesto of the World Day Against Gender Violence.
It will be in the Plaza del Alpargatero, at 12:00.
And on Saturday, November 28, in charge of the Jardinico Association, a workshop, which will be conducted at its headquarters, located on the Carretera de Murcia it will be held.
The hours will be from 11:00 to 13:00.
The Councillor said that these two commemorations are "closely linked and that education should be the first step to try to combat gender violence. We know that the fight to eradicate violence against women is not a matter of working a few days, is a question everyday and above all an educational issue is working with all groups ".
Finally, the mayor ceheginera has advanced what will be a revitalization project for women, in which, as has moved "be represented women's associations that are in our town, and which will be designed to perform specific policies in which the associations will be encouraged and in which plans to promote the integration of women in our society will develop "
