The 'Medioambientados' program that has launched the Department of Environment, led by Maria Jose Martinez Verdugo, with the collaboration of Ecoembes, seeks to promote respect for the natural environment and instill a set of habits and behaviors friendly to the environment among school children in 6 of all primary schools in the municipality, through knowledge, participation and collaboration.
The program, taught by Adinor Association, is divided into three phases.
The first is a series of briefings, environmental content, that are taught in schools to sixth grade level.
In the same various topics, such as biodiversity and its importance in the environment, protected areas of the Region of Murcia and the municipality, sustainable water use, waste management and different energy sources, including others.
In the second round of talks will be selected five students from each school, which will participate in a final competition at La Casa de la Cultura.
The theme of the competition is based on tests of different competitions on television, as 1, 2, 3, ... responds again, Saber y ganar, or Pasapalabra, but with environmental content previously worked with the students.
The Councillor said that the program "has as main objective, to instill in children respect for the Environment, through the knowledge of what it means for us, every day, have a natural environment in good condition"
