Cehegín City Council, through its Department of Works and Services, whose mayor is Ismael Garcia Abellan, conducted paving 2,000.00 square meters of precast concrete paver rustic within the refurbishment of the the Puntaron Landscape Area, in its second phase.

We recall that in late May 2015 the works of the 1st phase of conditioning The Puntarrón Scenic Area, including within the Territorial Plan for Rural Development, with funding from EAFRD funds (75%), CARM (12%) were completed and MARM (12%).

These works are budgeted at € 80,000.00 and were awarded to the company Aquamur amounting to € 79,636.98.

They consisted mainly of building masonry walls and riprap for containment of land, plus 600 m2 with cobblestone and the rest of the surface of the paved area was conditioned with artificial gravel.

Later, thanks to a remnant of excess credit, reopened the call for subsidies under the Rural Development Plan Territorial again.

However, the council has reported that "the main drawback of this is that reopening had to be executed and justified before 25 August 2015. He turned to apply for a grant in order to complete the cobblestone pavement of all Puntarrón area and provide it with lighting, but the provisional decision granting the subsidy did not come until May 15 and then no decision was made about it. The day was May 24 municipal elections and there was a change of corporation . The new administration did not take office until mid-June .. Thus, when we had knowledge of the status of this record, due to the time required for the procurement and execution of the work, it was technically impossible to finish within established ".

Ismael Abellán also commenting that "it is then when it decides to modify the application and perform most of the work was essential to end the cobblestone pavement of the area in the future to complete the total design of the area."

It has been budgeted at € 59,669.46 (including VAT) and has been awarded, following the request of several offers to different companies in the area, and Construcciones Perez Fajardo, SL amounting to € 53,105.69 (including VAT).
