The Plenary Hall of the City of Cehegín has welcomed this afternoon the act of incorporation of the new Municipal Corporation and the inauguration of José Rafael Rocamora (PSOE) as the new mayor of the municipality as well as the eight councilors who are part of his administration, and that will be for the next four years in opposition, formed by the Popular Party (6 councilors), Citizens (2 councilors) and Cehegín for Change with a mayor.
In this term the latter two parties first enter into the composition of the Municipal Corporation ceheginera, being an unusual event that four political groups have municipal representation.
The new mayor has received the baton from the hands of former Mayor Jose Soria, being Councilman older.
The flamboyant mayor, in his speech, discussed the main lines of what will be this term.
"The local government should be the main promoter agent business development of the town, implementing measures to increase our production and to consolidate and strengthen existing activities," he said.
Rocamora has expressed its intention to "govern seeking ways of understanding with all political forces" and has been assured that "the only way to reverse this complex situation of economic or social crisis is to require effort, participation and contribution of all. "
