School of Primary 5th Earl of Campillos Pérez Villanueva and Virgen de las Maravillas de Cehegín colleges have concluded with a 'flashmob' or joint choreography on the Gran Via the World Environment Day, celebrated today, 5 June.
The children, accompanied by their teachers, have danced to the beat of different music carrying alluding to the celebration of this day, with which it aims to raise awareness about respecting the environment worldwide shirts.
Another activity carried out was the installation of a stand in the place of Alpargatero by the Department of Environment in which gifts were distributed brochures about recycling.
On the other hand, the councilors in office of Environment, Maria Dolores Carrasco, and Montes, Joaquín Marín, presented the awards of V Photo Contest 'Montes y Huerta Cehegín'.
The first prize, worth 300 euros, went to Magdalena Caballero, the photograph entitled 'field work', taken in an area close to Campillo de los Jimenez area.
The second prize was Juan José Abril, who has won 200 euros with photography 'Sierra del Quípar'.
Pedro José Rico has won the third prize of 100 euros with photography 'Abandoned in the field', held in a house near the village of El Escobar ruins.
Acting Councillor of Environment, Maria Dolores Carrasco, thanked everyone and schools that have participated in different activities planned to mark the World Environment Day.
Carraco specially thanked the cooperation of the concessionaire of the water service, Hidrogea, which has sponsored the 'Medioambientados' contest that was held on May 8 with the participation of several schools.
