The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia has developed the operation 'SERAPIO, directed to investigate a group of people linked to drug trafficking offenses, which has resulted in the dismantling of a criminal organization based in Cehegín and composed of four persons and the seizure of 60 grams of cannabis oil.
Earlier this month, policemen Team Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement (EDOA) began the investigation after discovering that a group of people, seated in Cehegín, may be engaging in drug trafficking.
The result of the first actions, the researchers could see that it was a criminal organization composed of four British nationals, so we continued with the investigation to uncover the modus operandi used in criminal activity.
During the investigation it was found that the group members, settled in Cehegín and mobility for all the municipalities of the Northwest region, making periodic shipments of packages to UK, mainly in England and Wales, containing hidden cannabis oil.
Shortly after it was found that the criminal group had begun sending two suspicious packages through an international courier company, so the police protocol provided in these cases was activated.
