The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities has completed the comprehensive study and intervention of significant damage sculpture 'Our Lady of Wonders', which has been returned to the Franciscan convent of San Esteban de Cehegín.
The director of Cultural Property, Maria Comas, gave this size eighteenth century the mayor of Cehegín, Jose Soria, once technicians Restoration Center of the Region of Murcia proved their good structural and internal state.
Attributed to the sculptor Nicolás Fumo (1647-1725), the piece came to Cehegín in July 1725 thanks to the relationship between father Moreno, guardian of the convent, and Pedro Antonio Cartagena and Lorenzo Pereti latter Navy captain who made commissioned a statue of the Virgin and Child Neapolitan sculptor.
