A group of farmers Cehegín has participated in the First Congress of Peach Cieza, Murcia held in this city from 6 to 8 March and whose main objective has been internationally promote this product, publicize their properties and make it an attractive dynamic of tourist, cultural and gastronomic resources.
The conference was divided into three sections, the first took place on Friday with the conclusion of the presentations and roundtables, the second was devoted to tourism taking advantage of the blossoming of the fruit and the third, held Sunday, was dedicated to gastronomy .
President of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Alberto Garre, was responsible for inaugurating the First Congress of Peach Cieza.
After the opening ceremony began the program of presentations, all of great interest mainly to farmers.
Cehegineros farmers were accompanied by Mayor Jose Soria, and the council of Agriculture, Joaquín Marín, who underlined that the agricultural sector must be in a constant state of improvement and evolution, constantly evaluating new and profitable crop for the owners.
"Resorting to such events, share experiences and learn is always necessary and positive," added the councilman.
