The XXVIII edition of Competition Exhibition Palomos of Native Races of Murcia, organized by the Society of race Cehegín Palomistas collaboration with the City Council through the Department of Sports, broke its record turnout with over 300 copies arrived from every corner of the region.
The president of the Society Palomistas Cehegín, Domingo Ródenas, has welcomed the high turnout this year, which goes to show "support for the good work that this association has been running since almost 30 years" .
"Cehegín is one of the cradles of indigenous breeds in the Region of Murcia," he assured Ródenas.
In this edition, which has been redeveloped into a low located on the street Camino Verde, have entered into competition breeds Quebrao Murciano, Porcelano, Laudino Murciano, Morrillero and Cuco Lorca.
For two of these breeds, bushings Laudino Murciano and Porcelano, Palomistas Association has achieved standardization in 2014 by the Royal Spanish Federation Colombicultura.
"This means that these two races can participate in official tournaments covered by the federation, completing a process that has taken six years of proceedings," said Sunday Ródenas.
