The City of Cehegín invest almost 110,000 euros in the renovation of lighting in the districts of Algezares and Cañada de Canara and the strong reinforcement of a total of ten streets of the town.
This was announced this morning the Mayor Jose Soria, and Councilman Works and Services, Juan Antonio Chico, at a press conference in which both highlighted the activation of the Plan of Works and Services of the Autonomous Region in municipalities with a budget of 4 million euros, of which corresponded to Cehegín 103,722 euros, which the City Council adds another 5,462.
Juan Antonio Chico explained that the proceedings have been decided in accordance with parameters of priority requests from neighbors and recommendations of the Technical Office of the City Council.
As for the renewal of the lighting in those districts has a budget of 30,372 euros.
In Cañada de Canara twenty points of light are replaced and twenty Algezares using LED lights that will mean significant savings on energy bills.
The mayor explained that the renewal of street lighting in the village of El Cabezo and crossing the hamlet of Canara is pending.
The second investment budgeted 78,861 euros, is the strong reinforcement in Churruca, San Juan, Santa Isabel, Sola, Santa Ana, San Marcos, Braille, Poniente, streets slope Góngoro and Liberty Avenue, acting on 10,000 m.
The mayor of Works and Services has added other minor actions in Bagastri, Portillo streets slope Olivar and Canara to fix minor shortcomings.
For its part, the mayor stressed that in these early weeks of 2015 there performing in Cehegín performances over 800,000 euros.
Jose Soria has listed the refurbishment of Puntarrón, creating a shelter in the Europe House and conditioning Park Ginés Ibáñez, funded by European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) works.
It has also been referred to the Programme for Employment and Training of the Plaza de Toros, for which the Department of Employment and Training has granted 263,129 euros, and the replacement of fixtures with low-consumption in several municipal buildings to save on energy costs showing budgeted at 99,000 euros.
