Young Laura García Carlini, 25, has won the contest poster Cehegín Carnival 2015 with a work entitled 'Ponte mask' starring Alpargatero sculpture located in the central square of the town of the same name.
Laura is studying the last year of Architecture at the University of Granada and used to perform the technical poster and image processing programs and design that has learned during the race such as Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.
"I wanted to give importance to the figure of Alpargatero, which is an icon of Cehegín, and put a colorful mask to make him participate in these celebrations," said the author of the poster.
Laura is the daughter of cehegineros and maintains many links with Cehegín city where he attended high school studies and where he has great friends.
But has lived many years in Eagle, "a place where Carnival is lived in a very special way, and I carry within me that passion for this party," says Laura, who participates every year in the aquiline carnivals and has also paraded in Cehegín.
Celebrations Councilman Ruben Sanchez explained that the jury for choosing the cartel was formed by members of several troupes of Carnival.
The mayor noted that participation in the contest has been somewhat lower than in other years, a fact that has been attributed to the proximity of Carnival with Christmas, although the deadline for the contest was opened in December.
This year's carnival will be held from 14 to 21 February.
