In fact, in late 2013 the director and the mayor visited the center to meet with his management team and check the status of the facilities, which were far from adequate.

In late summer work began, lasting four months, and concluded just before the Christmas holiday period.

The new units, occupying a total area of ​​113 square meters, consisting of two zones, one male and one female, equipped with showers, dressing space, toilets and sinks.
There is also a handicap toilet and a dressing-office for teachers.
The roof is sloped and has overhead lighting, plus anti-slip flooring.
Facilities include thermal heating and DHW by heaters, which does not pollute the environment, and allows a quick and efficient heating.
The Minister of Education stressed that "we continue to make a major effort to provide students and teachers of adequate facilities for them to develop their work and achieve higher quality education for more successful in school."
During the visit to the new facilities of IES Vega del Arcos, Pedro Antonio Sanchez also reported the concession in the municipality of 356 scholarships for school supplies and 46 full free service dining, which were resolved early in the course and have already he been paid, "thus fulfilling the commitment it made the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities last year," he said.
