The Councillor for Tourism of Cehegín Francisco in April, has made public the data collected in the quarterly report of the Network of Tourist Offices in the Region of Murcia to the number of visitors served in the Tourist Office of the town.

The report notes that from September to December the number of visitors served has reached 2,660, representing a 61% increase on the same period of 2013. With respect to the immediately preceding this, four months from May to August, the increase is even greater because the increase is 67.82%.
As to the origin of visitors in the last quarter 64% have come from other municipalities in the region of Murcia, 28% from other regions of the country and 8% were foreign tourists.
Alicantinos, with 31%, Catalonia and Madrid have been the country's citizens who have most visited Cehegín.
Likewise, British tourists, with 66%, followed distantly by French and Germans were the most numerous foreign visitors.
The reason for the visit of more than 65% of visitors in the last quarter has been the culture, 16% routes of parks and 10% for craft markets.
