Otters, animal mammal strong link to the aquatic environment, have returned to inhabit the rivers Argos and Quípar disappeared after several decades.
According to the Councillor for Agriculture and Forestry, Joaquín Marín, last December 25 a neighbor of the hamlet of stack reported that a copy of otter had fallen into an irrigation pond owned, very close to the bed of the river Argos .
Personnel Recovery Center Wildlife Valley, managed by the Service for the Protection and Conservation of the Directorate General of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity, moved to the place and freed otter, returning the river to check Argos I was in perfect health.
In connection with this, the mayor of Agriculture and Forestry has highlighted the work from the Ministry of Environment has been developing in recent years in wastewater treatment in the region of Murcia and in the Northwest Region in particular, launching new treatment systems that have helped to regenerate and improve the quality of river water.
