The animeros and the City pay tribute to José Fernández 'The pelaillas' (29/12/2014)

The world of gangs and traditional music has paid tribute to José Fernández 'The pelaillas' in a ceremony held at the House of Culture under the First Meeting of Crews 'The Mesoncico' organized by Animeros Cehegín and the City .

Mayor Jose Soria, and Secretary of Animeros Cehegín, Emilio José López, José Fernández have given a framed parchment on which recognition is stressed "a lifetime dedicated to transmitting traditional music" of this land.

Furthermore, many people have joined in this tribute, mainly alumni of Joseph and his wife, Carmen, who learned them to play an instrument and perform traditional dances or former members of the crews stopped playing years.

On the stage of the House of Culture were acting the six participating formations in the meeting that morning played at the Castle Square.

Among them crews Cehegín and El Campillo of Jiménez, which joined with their instruments Council of Tourism and Celebrations, Francisco April and Rubén Sánchez, respectively.

José Fernández was born on March 10, 1925 in the hamlet of Canara ceheginera.

He learned to play guitar with musicians from La Copa de Bullas.

In 1945 he began to teach people who wanted to learn in Canara and later joined the Animeros del Campillo.

In 1952 he emigrated to Barcelona again Cehegín every Christmas and not missing his appointment with the animeros.

In 1980 he finally returned home and began to play the song and dance group, also picking up music lessons for all instruments with his wife, which focused on teaching dance.

He recently collaborated with Animeros Cehegín, recovering pieces from the repertoire of this land.

José 'The Pelaillas' has transmitted a rich and extensive musical repertoire for loose ball, as Malaga Cehegín pardicas Orchard, pardicas El Escobar, rabotas, Jack Uncle Paco 'The Jackets' Jack of Cehegín, La Mancha, seguidillas, sevillanas, seguidillas Cehegín, Jack 'bowling', partying, mazurka, waltz for dancing 'agarrao' and traditional Easter themes, such as Las Animas, Our Father, Priest, The Joys (Carol) and La Pastora (Carol ).
