The Councillor for Social Services, María José de Maya, has reported that the second day of the Great Collection of Foods that should be carried out tomorrow moved to Saturday 6 December in anticipation of the rains that are advertised for the next hours.
The council has explained that despite being the feast day of the Spanish Constitution, December 6 supermarkets open until noon.
Also, Maya has announced that the company Mercadona joins campaign for Saturday December 6th.
Thus, until now, Aldi, Dia, Corbalan Matallana, Madrugas and Mercadona supermarkets collaborate with food collection.
The Spanish Federation of Food Bank is taking place throughout Spain during today and tomorrow the Second Great Food Collection to help address the five million people living below the poverty line in Spain.
The initiative has come to Cehegín through the Safe Food Bank with the support of Caritas.
