The IX Conference on Civil Protection Volunteers, to be held in Cehegín on 13 and 14 December, will have as its central theme the role of this group in planning major events and intervention and action protocols for major emergencies.
The conference, which have been presented this morning by the Councillor for Public Safety, María Dolores Carrasco, and the coordinator of the Civil Protection of the City of Cehegín, José de Moya, gather volunteers throughout Spain.
"These days, such as the eight previous editions, we want to serve to exchange views and experiences among groups of volunteers from the region of Murcia and other autonomous communities," said José de Moya, who added that this activity will help XXXI also celebrate the anniversary of the ceheginera grouping, born in September 1983.
Will be honored at the conference Underwater Group of the Civil Guard and given the Silver Medal of the National Association of Civil Protection Volunteers for their collaboration with Underwater Rescue Group of the Region of Murcia.
The conference will be inaugurated on Saturday, December 13, by the general director of Public Safety and Emergency Murcia, Luis Gestoso;
by Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria;
by the Councillor for Public Safety and Civil Protection Coordinator Cehegín.
Among the speakers who will be involved are the head of Civil Protection section SAMUR of Madrid, Fernando Prado, who will speak on 'Protocols of action in major emergencies';
Chief Inspector and Teacher Specialization Update Center and the National Police Corps, José García Ullastre;
and the head of Civil Protection of the City of Puente Genil (Córdoba), Rafael Galvez, who will speak on 'Municipal Civil Protection from major emergencies.
