The Department of Women and Equality directed by María del Mar de Bejar has organized various activities to mark the World Day Against Gender Violence held annually on 25 November.
The goal of these activities is to continue raising awareness about this social evil and promote real equality between men and women.
On one hand, the three centers of the municipality where secondary education, the Argos and Alquipir Vega institutes and Concerted Colegio Nuestra Señora de las Maravillas is taught, will host talks for teenagers.
In these sessions we will work with young people about roles in society, socially accepted discriminatory practices and other issues aimed at preventing gender-based violence in the future.
On the other hand, next Tuesday, November 25, the House of Culture will host from 18:00 a Zumba exhibition organized by the Sports Council.
In this act, the Department of Women and Equality proceed to read the manifesto of the International Day Against Violence Against Women.
