The mayor, José Soria, and Councilman Works and Services, Juan Antonio Chico, presented this morning the five vehicles purchased by the City of Cehegín.
Specifically it is a sight to the Technical Office and four vans for areas of Works and Services, Parks and Gardens and Electrical Service.
As explained Councilman Juan Antonio Chico, the acquisition system of these vehicles has been to 'renting', "since according to the reports of municipal officers was the most profitable, to include full insurance breakdowns, changing wheels and other services. "
For these vehicles, the City will pay about 1,660 euros per month.
"This acquisition was not a whim but a duty and a necessity, since these vehicles replace old ones, some of them nearly 25 years, which involved a huge expense because of his numerous breakdowns and malfunctions" he added mayor.
Juan Antonio Chico recalled that recently the service truck garbage collection were renovated and will soon do the same with the street cleaning vehicles.
For his part, the mayor, José Soria, has insisted that these five new vehicles, far from being an expense, are savings "from today" compared to previous vehicles for his long life were giving many problems and assumed a constant expense.
Soria also stressed that these vehicles offer a better service for municipal workers.
