The City of Cehegín has given a Christ Crucified property to participate in the exhibition "In intimate prayer ', which runs until December 1 in the monumental complex of San Juan de Dios de Murcia and is organized by the Ministry Education, Culture and Universities through the Directorate General for Cultural Property.
The Crucified, listed Andalusian school of the nineteenth century, has an academic size and matches the theme of the exhibition, which brings together a number of small images that belong to private collections and that once were made to be venerated in family inside the home, in the field of special devotion oratorios.
Christ from Cehegín, preserved in the Municipal Archaeological Museum, also has the urn or wooden cabinet inside which is usually found, decorated with a garland of fabric flowers, but the exposure has not moved this cabinet .
The exhibition, which opened last September by the President of the Autonomous Community, Alberto Garre, collect images of the seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, among which parts of the Seville Luisa Roldán, 'The Pulley', Nicolas and Francisco Salzillo, or caravaqueño Marcos Francisco Laborda Sánchez Araciel, among other artists.
