The parish community of Our Lady of Cehegín Wonderland, located in the Franciscan convent of San Esteban, has paid tribute to Father Antonio Torres Vidal, closely linked to ceheginero convent since a teenager from entering in the old seraphic college to pursue their studies .
The homage was made within the novena which has been held in preparation for the feast of St. Francis of Assisi to be held tomorrow, October 4.
The provincial minister of the Franciscan Order, Father Jesús Hernández, presided at the Mass and homage, who participated in the various parish groups such as the Secular Franciscan Order, the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Maravillas, catechists, Caritas or groups prayer, to the convent of San Esteban friars with the father guardian, Fray José Torres, head, and numerous people.
During the ceremony, recalled Father Vidal biography, stressing his admiration for the life and work of San Francisco, which encouraged him from an early age to enter this order.
It has also highlighted its missionary aspect in Japan for several years and his long career in Cehegín, a town that feels very attached and where the love of all neighbors with His humanity, humility and closeness from the outset.
One of the stories of his life as mentioned in the act is that the first girl who baptized in Japan will put the name of Wonderland, by the great devotion that has always professed the Patroness of Cehegín and has always made clear .
Also, different people have expressed their testimony and public appreciation for the work of Father Vidal.
On the other hand, within the tribute, the Franciscan has uncovered the plate labeled with his name one of the rooms of the convent annexed to the cloister, and from now on will remember your figure and passing through Cehegín.
