Cehegín commemorate tomorrow, September 27, World Tourism Day with open house in the churches of Santa María Magdalena and Concepción, the Archaeological Museum and the Wine School, as announced by the Councillor for Tourism, Francisco Abril.
La Magdalena, the Conception, the Archaeological Museum and the Wine School will be open from 11:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 20:00.
The two churches are prototypical examples of Murcia rebirth, Magdalena of the columnar hall-calls and the Conception of a single nave covered by one of the best Mudejar coffered Murcia.
The Archaeological Museum is located in the old Town Hall and the former palace of the Fajardo and houses collections of fossils and archaeological remains primarily Iberians, Romans and from various sites of the municipality, especially Begastri.
Finally, the Wine School, which opened last year, used the old cellar of the House of Terce, the seventeenth century, and is a space dedicated to disseminate and promote the wine industry Cehegín.
The World Tourism Day is celebrated every year on 27 September.
Its purpose is to publicize and raise awareness of the social, cultural, political and economic value of tourism.
