The band will also offer a concert at the Teatro Monumental in Mataró and perform at the Cathedral of Almudena in Madrid with the chorus 'Cehegín City' and 'Hims Mola' Molina de Segura

The Musical Society Cehegín faces a busy autumn and full of activity with several commitments.

Among them is participating for the second consecutive year, the National Music Band Contest "City of Murcia ', organized by the city this city and this year celebrates its twenty-fourth edition.

Last year, the training ceheginera directed by Rafael González won the first prize in this contest the Third Section.

The event will take place on Saturday 15 November at the Teatro Romea Murcia.

The Musical Society Cehegín participate with the Musical Union of San Miguel de Salinas (Alicante) and the Musical Arts Society of Xuquer D'Alcántera (Valencia).

As explained by the President of Training, José Francisco Ruiz, cehegineros musicians will play three works.

Two free choice, '100 years of sighs' and 'Patterns Lorca', and composition required by the organization, which will be 'Egmont'.

Before this important event, the Musical Society Cehegín travel to the Catalan city of Mataró for a concert at the Teatro Monumental Saturday 11 October.

This concert is the result of an invitation issued by the mayor of this town twinned with Cehegín and is part of a cultural week organized by the municipality of Mataró.

On the other hand, the Almudena Cathedral in Madrid will be the scenario in which the Musical Society, along with the chorus 'Cehegín City' and the chorus 'Hims Mola' Molina de Segura, interpret the 'Missa Brevis' Jacob Haan which premiered last Palm Sunday.

This Mass, which will be chaired by the Bishop of Begastri, Bishop Martinez Camino, will be held on November 22, feast of St. Cecilia, patron saint of musicians.

Finally, on November 29, the band offered in the House of Culture of Cehegín traditional Santa Cecilia concert.
