Cehegín lives today, September 10, the great and solemn day of their patron saint, the Virgen de las Maravillas, symbol and emblem of the town.
This morning, the shrine of the patron in the Franciscan convent of San Esteban has hosted the Mass in the liturgical feast of the Virgin, chaired by the Provincial of the Franciscan Order, Jesus Hernandez.
The mayor, José Soria, several councilors and the president of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Maravillas, Alfonso City, attended the mass.
This afternoon, the Plaza de Toros host from 18:00 the traditional feast day of the patron.
