The Catalan city of Premia de Mar has dedicated a square in his street to the town of Murcia Cehegín, with which it is twinned and which maintains a constant and cordial institutional relationships.
Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, recently visited Premia de Mar, invited by his counterpart in that city, Miguel Buch, to attend the celebrations of the town.
Within the program of events organized by the City took place the act of labeling Square Cehegín a public space in the city.
During this event, José Soria has delivered to Miguel Buch ceheginero a work of sculptor Nicholas of Maya, made of steel, to be placed in the square dedicated to Cehegín.
Cehegín Premia de Mar and is officially twinned in December 2010 at a ceremony held in the City of Murcia.
Twinning was carried out due to the large population of descendants of cehegineros cehegineros and residing there for decades, they migrated in the decades of the 50s, 60s and 70s of last century.
