The Northwest Green Pathway in its section within the municipality of Cehegín account today with the new playground 'Peña Rubia', which adds a recreational space for the thousands of people daily make use of this natural corridor.

The mayor of Works and Services stressed that this is the fifth action that is performed on the 1.5 miles of Greenway passing through Cehegín.
Chico recalled that earlier the hostel old railway station, walk the Bridge of Chervil, a recreation area of ​​the Dry Spot and healthy Bridge area of ​​Chirros were conditioned, which now joins this area recreation.
This project, with a cost of 17,000 euros, was carried out on an area of ​​4,000 square meters.
Work began in late 2013 with the clearing and leveling of land and outfitting of the slopes.
During the year 2014 we proceeded to the planting of the slopes with native vegetation, conditioning floor with artificial gravel and sand, planting of 30 mulberry trees for shade, fencing around the perimeter of the gazebo with a wooden railing, installation of six tables marble masonry seats, placing six wooden benches, six bins, a source of drinking water, installation of lighting and irrigation system.

The mayor of Works and Services stressed that the implementation of such works involving more than ten local companies, providing materials and some other running units of work, "so the money invested affects Cehegín".

This Sunday, July 13, the brand new playground will host its first cultural and recreational activity with the representation of children's theater 'magicus' by the Cultural Association "Full Moon Theatre' from 22:00 within the summer program.
