The hamlet of Day officially begins next Monday, June 23, the acts of its festivities in honor of San Juan Bautista after the eve of this weekend.
The proclamation of Antonio Ruiz, local businessman, the offering of flowers to the patron, the fireworks opening concert of Mary and David Breadcrumbs night will kick off a long holiday week which runs until Sunday 29 June, the feast of St. Peter the Apostle.
During those days, a dense and full program of events will take place in the population of the craft of pottery.
One of the big day will be June 24, the day of San Juan, where the Mass was celebrated in honor of the patron, the procession with the statue of the saint accompanied by the Musical Society and the first Cehegín displays bulls among other activities.
The running of bulls, the 'chikiencierro', musical performances, parades, brass bands, children's games, food tasting and sports tournaments will be the highlights of the schedule.
New this year, on Thursday took place on I 26 World Championship Launch Brick, an event that has the dual aim of promoting the sector's economic engine of the population, the development of slabs and bricks craft, and to provide an exciting new event to the festivities ceramics.
That day, the 26th, will also be held Huertano Day, residents and visitors wearing traditional costume.
The festivities culminate on June 29 with events in honor of San Pedro, one biker concentration and many more acts, occurring at night the appointment of the new festival committee, which will take over the current and begin preparing the holidays next year.
