With the arrival of June, the popular district of San Antonio de Padua Cehegín dresses up.
This year the celebrations in honor of its patron will be held from 12 to 15 June and will be touted by Councilman Celebrations and resident of the neighborhood, Ruben Sanchez, who has lived there forever and is very attached to it.
The speech will take place on the evening of Thursday, June 12, and at the end a long tradition of these celebrations will recover with the crowning of the Court of Honor child, made by Queen, Wonderland Fernández, and two ladies, Lilian Garcia and Virginia Ruiz.
Another new programming the holidays this year is the recovery of childhood coach with distribution of toys and goodies and display model airplane, which was not held since 1988. The program also includes a variety of sports, leisure, food, religious and musical acts designed to enjoy the local coexistence.
On Friday 13th June, the day of San Antonio, will be one of the most important days of the holidays, but the solemn mass in honor of the patron and the procession with the statue of the saint through the streets of the neighborhood will take place on Sunday afternoon day 15. The Mass will be presided over by the Franciscan José Torres del Cerro and sung by the choir 'The thousand colors of the Andalusian Cultural Association Cehegín.
During the Eucharist will proceed to the coronation of San Antonio, will bless a new crown that will carry from that day.
Celebrations Councilman Ruben Sanchez, has expressed his delight at being appointed preacher of his neighborhood parties, a celebration as a child living with total involvement.
Sanchez has been in the Festival Committee for several years and said that pregonarlas as councilor "will be very exciting as it will join the be accompanied by my family, friends and neighbors of all life, and my great devotion to San Antonio ".
From the Events Organising Committee thereof encourage neighborhood residents and all cehegineros to enjoy scheduled activities, engaging in them and hitting the streets during those days.
