The awards ceremony of the V School Poster Contest this morning focused activities being developed in Cehegín to join the celebration on June 5, World Environment Day.
The mayor, José Soria, and Councilwoman Environment, Maria Dolores Carrasco, presented the awards to the winners.
The first prize went to Yosra Lbini Slitane, student of 6th grade of primary school CEIP Campillos Conde, consisting of a tablet.
The second prize has been designed to Sara Robles, Valeria Marble and Alicia Robles, students of 2nd Primary CC Nuestra Señora de las Maravillas, consisting of a tent.
Ana Ibernon, 6th Primary CEIP Campillos Conde has won the third prize, a sleeping bag.
Moreover, in different colleges are giving a talk about waste and street cleaning through CESPA, service concessionaire Ecoparque Municipal management.
These talks are aimed at students of 5th year of primary education.
In addition, on June 5 a talk about recycling partnerships aimed at Afemnor, Pensioners Club, Bethany and socio workshop run by Caritas will be made.
Another activity will be the installation of a stand in the square ECOVIDRIO Alpargatero on 4 and 11 June, coinciding with the celebration of the weekly market.
This is an information booth in which a team of environmental educators deliver to neighbors and neighboring reusable bags used to store waste glass containers for home recycling.
In addition, information on the importance of recycling containers and such guidelines are offered to do it properly, resolving any doubts that may arise in this regard.
In parallel, an igloo will be installed at the same point for all those who wish for next Wednesday, June 11, to deposit waste stored in reusable bags delivered, receiving a prize as a reward for their effort.
