Almería hosted in March the Spain Swimming Championships organized by the Spanish Sports Federation for Persons with Intellectual Disability (FEddi).
The town of Cehegín has again be represented with the participation of the swimmer Loli Gea.
In the morning and afternoon sessions, Loli, after improving with time, he visited the championship, has achieved a double runner-up Spain in 50 and 100 meter backstroke and a bronze medal in 200 meter freestyle, which shows that the swimmer is maintaining a very good level, as it has got medals in all three events in which he participated.
The swimmer has had heading into this tournament with the support of her family, Virginia and Paco Moya Boluda Cehegín Arena Club, together with evidence of collaboration and Raul Jimenez and Sports Centre facilities Caravaca.
Loli de Gea, swimmer with Down syndrome, began swimming in 1990 in the workshops of Sports Schools in the municipal swimming pool.
In his resume has to be champion Spain in several years and World Champion in 2006.
Loli has been regarded as a high performance athlete for many years, in addition to being recognized with several local and regional awards.
